In hindsight, I should have just made up what the bottom of an elevator shaft looks like rather than trying to use a reference.
I have a hatred of elevator shafts in video games. They’re not water dungeons or sewer levels, but they’re pretty freaking close.
I actually don’t know if official D&D has a Sarlacc ripoff creature or not… but I assume they must have added something like one by now.
The only thing worse than players that ignore your carefully crafted story are the players that actively do get involved with it and shanghai it for their own purposes.
