Support the Comic
I recently created a Patreon campaign as a new way for readers to support the comic and to help motivate me to make new comics on a more regular basis. I love my work on Does Not Play Well With Others, but with all the editing work I’ve been doing for Errant Story I’ve been finding it hard to make new comics a priority, and to be honest I’ve been pretty burned out, too… so this new system is really about giving me some goals and some feedback to help me get off my ass and start creating on a regular basis again. Plus, money makes me happy, and happy makes jokes flow. Or something like that.
How does this work? Basically, you sign up and pledge to tip me however much per page. Patreon tracks how many new comics I post, and then every month it takes payment from you. You can also set a limit if you’re worried I’ll start updating wildly and exceed your budget, or if you want to ultimately spend less than a dollar per comic. When enough people are contributing so that the cumulative page rate exceeds $50 per page, then I’ll update at a guaranteed rate of one page per week. At $100 per page, it’ll be two pages a week, and then there are a couple other cool bonus goals after that.
So basically, you get a really budget-friendly way to support the comic, I get a good way of seeing that people still want me to update, and my bank gets me to hopefully pay my bills on a more regular basis. Everybody wins, so go check out the campaign and kick my ass into gear, okay?
